For the better part of 25 years, I have strived to make our community a better place to live, work and play for all residents. I’ve done this through civic activism, volunteering, and nearly a decade of service as the Lee District representative to the Fairfax County Planning Commission.
Today, on the heels of Supervisor Jeff McKay’s decision to run for Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, I’m excited to announce that I am running to become the next Lee District Supervisor.
Together Supervisor McKay and I have worked to improve the quality of life in our community and provide a welcoming environment for all residents here in Lee District. We’ve also seen great successes while fighting for our part of the County.
I was proud when we were able to reopen the newly renovated Springfield Town Center and welcome Wegmans into Lee District. I’ve also helped secure tens of millions of dollars to improve our local schools, parks and transportation systems; approved the award-winning Embark plan to revitalize the Richmond Highway Corridor; and helped attract the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and its 3,400 jobs to locate near the Joe Alexander Transportation Center.
My work experience, willingness to listen and results-driven attitude provide the best path forward to continuing the positive progress that we have seen in Lee District.
As your Supervisor, I will work to protect and improve the quality of life in Fairfax County by creating better transit options, keeping our schools world class, protecting our natural resources and working to ensure affordable housing needs are met.
I am a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia who is proud to call the Island Creek area of Lee District home. As a father, I understand the importance of leaving the world a better place for the next generation and fostering an inclusive community that is welcoming to all.
I look forward to meeting with you during these next few months and working to earn your support.
